How many emails did YOU get about Stompernet?
I know I sign up for a lot of FREE stuff in the Internet Marketing world. This means that I’m on a lot of LISTS. Sometimes I get duplicate offers from various “guru’s” pitching the latest and greatest thing. But today really took the cake! As you might know, StomperNet opened for membership today after a 12-month lockdown. I couldn’t miss this event, because I got at least 20 emails telling me about it. And if Twitter were remotely functional, I’m sure I would have seen more than 20 tweets about this annual opportunity to join the Movers and Shakers Club of Internet Marketing.
I’m really not being sarcastic – StomperNet has a reputation for making their members a lot of money. Of course it also costs a lot of money, but their members seem to be making that back and significantly more. I gave joining some serious consideration this year, but I just can’t make the financial commitment. I decided to see if they were offering the $1.00 30-day trial again, but they wouldn’t let me sign up with a free email address (i.e. yahoo). I could use a different email, but I thought that was so silly that I didn’t continue.
Here’s the funniest story I have about this year’s Stomper opening — I’ve joined a Twitter group for folks in Colorado and one of the guys on there is Dave Taylor. He tweeted about Stomper the other day and I @DaveTaylor back asking, “Are you a current Stomper?”
Uhhhh…. He’s one of the founding members. Who knew! I thought he was just another local internet guy — turns out he’s a Big Kahuna Guru. Just happens to live near me. Needless to say, he didn’t answer my tweet. I’m sure he has some sort of rule about replying to idiots. I should ask him…
